Fall velvet must haves

Velvet for Fall

Velvet is one of those trends that comes and goes. One season it’s in, and the next it’s out. (We hear Heidi Klum’s voice from Project Runway in our heads saying that phrase.) In the past, velvet has sorta been reserved for our winter wardrobes. It’s been a November through February sorta thing. Not this year, though. We’re seeing it in the Fall and we’re seeing it incorporated into everything.  Try velvet shoes, bags, jackets, you name it. Even adding a little velvet trim (like the blazer above) makes whatever you’re wearing oh. so. current. So, pick your poison. And while we’re at it, here’s our picks for Fall’s must have velvet pieces.

The Velvet Pieces We’re Crushing On

The perfect textured topper to wear with just about everything and anything you own. But, we love it most with jeans and a t-shirt for that “I just threw this together look”.

Velvet on velvet sounds like over kill, but it works. Try this velvet bodysuit under the perfect topper above.

This may have landed in Elana’s shopping cart. A cozy cardi with velvet detail. Style tip…This is what we’ve been saving our skinnier jeans for. So, break em’ out.

We love the bumble bee applique on this slide. Don’t be afraid to wear a velvet shoe with a velvet top, and a cropped denim.

An easy to wear shoulder bag. Give it an edgy look with last years leather pants.

  1. You are absolutely right. Velvet can look great, but the fashion comes and goes. I am planning to wear velvet more this season.
