SuperGoop - Best Sunscreen EVER

Having just come back from Spring Break, sunscreen is top of mind. I was away with 11 moms and 11 daughters, and we talked about how the sunscreens that actually do the work and block the bad stuff can leave your face, body, and swimsuit white and yucky.

Supergoop is my holy grail of sunscreens - I personally like the SPF 50 oil (probably because I was a baby oil devotee back in my youth). However, all of their products protect from the sun and feel good and light on the skin - so you have a better chance of truly using them!

Food

Apple Strawberry Crisp Recipe

A dessert you wouldn’t even know was flour, gluten, and dairy-free!! (and it’s Kosher for Passover too)

So this is one of those IYKYK things… and if you don’t, let me fill ya in.

Historically, while Passover is a wonderful, food-centric holiday, the desserts are usually BAD. It’s probably the whole, no flour, no leavening thing, which is the cornerstone of the holiday. When my friend, teacher, and rabbi’s wife, Ruchi Koval, mentioned this recipe in a group last week, 5 of the women in attendance were raving about how good it is and how they serve it all year round to many compliments.

So if you’re Jewish or not. Keep Passover or not. And especially if you’re gluten or dairy-free, I thought you’d like the recipe. I’m definitely making it for Passover this year!!

Fashion

Tie-Waist Poplin Shirt

I’m currently obsessed with this white blouse  - it’s stretchy (so it’s comfy) yet feels polished and modern. And the tie waist helps give the optical illusion that I have one!! It is the perfect transition top for this time of year - and all year round as well.

Entertainment

The Gilded Age

Greg and I just finished watching The Gilded Age on HBO. If you were a fan of Downton Abbey, it’s like the American version sans the beautiful British accents…Taking place in NYC in the 1880s and follows the lives of the rich and “famous” of that period. The old money and the nouveau rich. Some characters are fictional, and others are real but fictionalized (the Astors, Flagler’s, and Rockefellers, to name a few)

Fun fact - In April 2021, Greg was out for a run while in NYC for work. And he sent me a video of something they were filming in Central Park. Lo and behold, when we were watching the series, he had a Deja Vu moment. He was like, “wait; I was there!!” And he was!
