The “Hermes” Chypre Sandal

Generally speaking, I am not about knockoffs. However, there is a difference between designer-inspired and counterfeit dupes. The Hermes Chypre sandal is fabulous in all of its heritage brand designer-ness. It’s a great everyday sandal, that’s both chunky and sleek, AND adjustable if your foot is on the narrow side.

So, It’s understandable that Steve Madden was inspired to make a similar (ummm VERY SIMILAR) sandal. And then some Amazon brands were in turn inspired. I ordered them all and decided to keep this Amazon version.

Color Wow Dream Coat Supernatural Spray

I seriously do not know how this anti-frizz stuff works, but it does! I used it in Florida when it was crazy humid, and my hair did not get that frizz halo it always gets when I’m in a humid climate. It helped my blowdry last and also works when I wear my hair curly. And it had 15k five-star reviews.

“The Postie” $15 Smoothie Recipe

This is the smoothie I became obsessed with in Florida. It’s delish, packed with protein and other good stuff AND it is $15!! Not to be cheap but that killed me. So I only allowed myself to have it once in a while as a treat or reward for a good workout. Don’t get me wrong, it’s worth it and I’m worth it, yet it feels like too much for a smoothie.

So I set out on a mission to find the recipe.

This smoothie is called “The Postie” because it’s meant for post-workouts. The owner of Gravity and Oxygen, the gym I went to in Florida, originated the Postie, so I got the recipe and am sharing it with you! Woot, woot!!

Now, every time you make it at home, put $15 in your “special fund” and buy yourself a treat!!

We Were the Lucky Ones

My daughter had ACL/Meniscus surgery in May, so we’ve been watching a lot of TV together to pass the time. This series blew us away! “Inspired by the incredible true story of one Jewish family separated at the start of World War II, determined to survive—and to reunite”.  It was moving, poignant, engaging, incredibly acted (Joey King was beyond), and timely. With everything going on in the world right now, this series hit a nerve about how history can repeat itself if we are not careful. I only wish I had read the book before I watched the show.
