Branden Wuensch is a fashion merchandising student in his last few quarters at Virginia Marti College of Art and Design. Planning to graduate in March of 2013, he is set to intern with the NYC based fashion Public relations firm, Krupp Group. Over the past few months he has helped the team consult with clients, assist in carrying out multiple trunk shows, single-handedly planned the teams summer Fashion Field Trip, and is now moving onto becoming more involved in the Hallie Abrams Wardrobe Consulting social media presence. Over the past few months at Hallie Abrams Wardrobe Consulting we have been working on our first of  what we hope to be more “Fashion Field Trips!”.  We researched numerous stores on Cleveland’s East side and after visiting all the stores that we felt had potential we stopped in to gain basic feel for what they had to offer. Wanting to offer quality over quantity, this is where the  list of about 25 shrunk to 12 of the best shops around! On August 2, 2012 the Hallie Abrams team ventured off in search of Cleveland best boutiques starting in Chagrin falls! This tiny village-esque town center, like something out of the opening scene of Beauty and The Beast has an overwhelming number of shops to checkout. The only problem with so many choices is knowing where to look to find what you need to stay chic and contemporary based on your personal style and shape. Most of our time on the trip was spent in Chagrin Falls starting at Find Me and moving on to Juicy Lucy, Sanity, Winds of Change, and Lizzy & Jane. Second on our agenda was little Italy. A neighborhood saturated by independent Italian restaurants, naturally. In this Italian cuisine lovers Mecca sits one of our favorite shops on the trip, Anne Van H. Almost hidden away in what used to be an old school building it is truly a gem of the neighborhood. Next stop was the somewhat lost shopping destination of downtown Cleveland where we visited Dredgers Union. Dredgers was helping to bring back the retail environment to downtown and was positioned perfectly for a downtown shop on the always busy E. 4th st. Sadly since our last visit to Dredgers they have decided to close down shop. Last but not least on our list of destinations was trendy Cleveland neighborhood Tremont. Here we stopped into Evie Lou where we each piece we picked up was better than the last. Over the next few weeks we will bring you along with us on our Fashion Field Trip going in-depth, store by store to show you what each store has to offer!

First stop on our Fashion Field Trip was the contemporary women’s clothing, shoe, and accessory boutique, Find Me. The shop is located at 24 North Main st. in Chagrin Falls, Ohio and we must say, we could not have picked a better place to get started! The shop itself could not have been any more welcoming and its employees, including the store’s owner, were friendlier than could we would have ever hoped for. They were beyond enthusiastic and eager to help us, although it should be noted, that at no point in our visit to the store did we feel attacked or urged to buy. The boutique offers a “well edited” selection of casual clothing and as you progress through the store you will find amazing, on trend blazers, tops, and pants which could be worn to the office and later transitioned to dinner. To add to the merchandise selection we also found great cocktail dress from Nicole Miller as well as other great designers. This store is a must visit if you are the type of woman who enjoys a one stop shop. They truly have all the fashion bases covered. The shop is perfect for the career woman looking for easy to wear office attire, as well as the stay at home mom looking for chic and contemporary on-the-go clothes, and a sexy single woman on the hunt for the perfect first date dress.
