Roasted Tomatillo Salsa

Ingredients

5 Tomatillos

1/4 Onion

2 Garlic Cloves

1 Jalapeño or Serrano Chile Pepper

1/4 Cup Chopped Cilantro

Salt and Pepper to taste


Directions

  1. Place tomatillos, onion, garlic, and chile pepper into a hot skillet or on top of the grill if possible.

  2. Move frequently with tongs, until the vegetables have charred skin and the garlic skin comes off easily, for about 10-15 minutes.

  3. Allow ingredients to cool before adding to molcajete or blender.

  4. After mashing or blending, adding fresh cilantro and salt and pepper to taste.
