Diana Vitantonio – Girl Crush

I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Diana for the past 20 years. As both a yoga instructor and socially through mutual friends. And while I could absolutely wax poetic about Di for paragraphs… she really does a better job sharing her passions and calling than I ever could. So read on to learn all about my girl crush, Diana Vitantonio.

My name is Diana Vitantonio and I am a Self Esteem coach for women.  Nothing lights my heart up more than witnessing another woman empower, heal and forgive herself.  She can begin to value herself in every decision she makes.  This is a BIG DEAL.  It seems easy, but this is the deep and hard work of diving into your interior.  All the parts of yourself that you don’t know that well yet.  Above all, It is how you truly love yourself.

Diana’s Work

One of the first things I do with people when I work with them is give them a list of words. Then I ask them to write down the definition. I’ve been doing this with people for over 10 years and what I learned is this…  No one has the same definition for any word.  No one. I learned that it wasn’t important that we all agreed on a definition.  What was important is that we agreed on different ones.  It’s about valuing our experience and everyone else’s at the same time.  No one sees the world like you do.  No one.  This is huge in understanding ourselves and each other. Certainly, it is paramount in healthy boundaries.

For most of my life, I have been able to act confident but I haven’t always had self-esteem.  To me, confidence is what it looks like on the outside. Self-esteem is what it is on the inside.

Freida Rothman Jewelry

I’m over the moon because a super cool jewelry brand, Frieda Rothman reached out to collaborate. Now when it comes to collabs, I need you all to know, I  turn down about 90% of them. The litmus test is this: Would I wear or use it myself, or recommend it to my personal styling clients. If yes, then I’ll start talking about details like rates, posting obligations, creative freedom (another must for me), and savings codes (I always try to hook you up with some kind of savings). Please know my obligation to serve you, and retain your trust, always supersedes the payout a brand might offer. If I wouldn’t use it, then I’m not sharing it with you all. Period. The End.

So when the Freida Rothman jewelry line reached out, it ticked all of the boxes. Great looking, fair pricepoint, a mission that aligned with my own, excellent customer service, and presentation AND a savings code to boot. I was in!

My Girl Crush, Kiya Tomlin

I originally discovered Kiya Tomlin because she’s represented by Hello LLC, a PR firm out of Chagrin Falls run by my friend Michelle Venorsky. Since then I’ve followed her on Instagram and am a big fan. Her designs and the overall brand concept are just WOW!!

Custom designer, Kiya Tomlin, launched her collection of re-imagined sweatsuits in the Fall of 2014. Inspired by the energy and aspirations of today’s modern woman, the namesake line was designed for women, like herself, with a purpose and passion for life. Uniting cover girl glamor with the comfort and ease of a favorite sweatshirt, her designs embody femininity, versatility, and the constant pursuit of the place where style, function, and luxurious comfort intersect.

Kiya Tomlin is the ultimate female entrepreneur and I’m so excited to share some of her favorite things with all of you

Dr. Diana Ponsky – Such a Girl Crush!

If you follow me on Instagram you’ve possibly noticed, in my stories, I’ve been taking you guys behind the scenes at my appointments with Dr. Diana Ponsky, Facial Plastic Surgeon. No, I’m not having surgery, at least not yet. But never say never. I’m not against it, and I’m not for it. I’m pro you feeling like the best version of yourself. The choice has to be yours, and yours alone. And if botox, fillers or surgery can help you achieve that (and it’s healthy and fiscally responsible for you to partake – I say go for it). And if it’s not your thing, then don’t.

But what I’ve found is that there is a lot of confusion and uncertainty surrounding the whole subject. Maybe even a stigma. And I hate that. So I want to open up the conversation, and take a peek behind the curtain.

Luckily my friend, client and personal doctor, Diana Ponsky, MD, FACS, has agreed to join me in an ongoing series about all things Facial Rejuvenation. Monthly we are going to sit down and have a chat (on Instagram – so be sure to follow us both there – The Wardrobe Consultant and Dr Diana Ponsky) where questions will be answered (in plain, everyday, understandable layman’s terms) and pros and cons discussed. We Weill even cover pricing and pain and recovery times. I’ll take you along as Diana assess the best path for me and my face. And as she  performs some of my procedures  too.

Olive Oil and Creams can Only do So Much

Ok, let’s get real… I love and adore JLo, however, I’m actually kind of perturbed that she claims she’s NEVER had ANYTHING done. I’m sorry, but she does not look that way from just using olive oil on her skin! I call BS on that. BIG TIME!

Dr. Diana Ponsky Tells it Like it Is

Dr. Diana Ponsky and I have had some frank discussions about celebs ( both those that look subtly refreshed and those that look like a plastic, overdone caricature.) For example Diana suggested adding a smidge of filler to a part of my face. My first reaction was NO WAY! I want to look slimmer, not puffier. But as she explained, one of the reasons a well known female, at 80 years old, looks so vibrant is because she has fullness in that region.  Diana was able to help me visualize and understand it and then  I was like “sign me up!” BTW, when I tried to explain The who and why, I suck. So, I’m asking Diana to do a quick video explanation – basically how she explained it to me. Look on my IG story, Wednesday (or it will be saved under the Dr. Diana Ponsky highlight.)

So Girl Crush Worthy

Anyway that’s just one of the many reasons, I have a big, old girl crush on Diana. She’s warm and sweet. Crazy smart and talented yet very humble. She cares deeply for her patients and about her profession. And, especially, when we are talking about something like plastic surgery, she has an incredible eye and the ability to make subtle tweaks that have a great impact.

Kalyn Johnson Chandler – Girl Crush

I am so thankful to my client and friend, Heidi, for introducing me to Kalyn Johnson Chandler. Kalyn’s a real-life wonder-woman that started her career as an attorney and then pivoted to create the lifestyle brand Effie’s Paper: Stationery & Whatnot. And she is completely Girl Crush worthy! I’m excited for you to meet her and check out some of her favorite things below! Front and center on Effie’s homepage is their credo, “We believe the future is female & that  it’s being fueled by black girl magic!” Powerful, right?

My BIG TIME Girl Crush, Jackie Wachter

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve done a girl crush around here. Because well, honestly, I don’t crush on just anyone… But this lady, Jackie Wachter is oh so crush-worthy! Jackie and I were literally set up on a girlfriend date a few years ago. Our mutual friend Eric kept telling us about one another. We tried a few times to meet, but as life often goes with busy ladies, our plans kept getting postponed. Fast forward like 10 months and we finally met at The Plum (Jackie’s suggestion because she really is so cool) and our one hour lunch turned into an entire afternoon. And a beautiful, inspirational and truly supportive friendship was born.

You know that friend that always has their finger on the pulse of what is cool? Like not too cool for school, but humble cool? THAT IS JACKIE! Like when my hubby and I want to try somewhere new for date night, I call Jackie for suggestions – she’s that friend! So who better to tap for ideas about what she’s obsessed with, right? AND, the leather company, FOUNT, that she and her husband founded is a whole other level of awesomeness and one of my personal obsessions!

Girl Crush, What is it??

It’s time for a girl crush again! One of the best aspects of my job is the girl gang I get to meet and the really cool stuff they know about and are willing to share. If you’re a newer reader or don’t remember, (I haven’t crushed in a while) the Girl Crush feature is when I highlight one of the awesome women I have the honor of knowing, and she dishes on some of her favorite things and current obsessions. It’s kind of like having coffee with your gal pal and swapping fab finds.

Tina Kanis: Girl Crush and Friend

This crush is a twofer (a two for one) in a few different ways. Tina is both a friend and a crush. Tina and I believe we were destined to be friends, so much so that we both think it might have been orchestrated from above. She’s lives in Michigan and I’m in Ohio (you know that whole football thing) but we got over that quickly…

We first met when we were randomly assigned to be roommates at a stylist event in NYC 6 years ago. And at the end of our very fun 3 day stint in the big apple, exchanged emails, cell numbers and of course, became Facebook friends…

What’s random isn’t random…

Fast forward a couple of years, and in March of 2016 on a seemingly random night…
