Cobalt Blue - The Universally Flattering Color
Blue, cobalt blue to be exact, is the other color, in addition to magenta that feels fresh right now. And the best part of it is that cobalt blue literally LOOKS GOOD ON EVERYONE.
But let’s answer the question as to why cobalt looks good on so many people?
Let me explain…
You know how political candidates and newscasters often wear cobalt blue? There’s a reason for it. The color is powerful, looks great on camera and makes a statement.
Why Cobalt Blue is a great color:
Cobalt is considered a clean blue - which means it is neither warm or cool, therefore rendering it attractive on everyone!
As blues go, cobalt is one that walks the fine line - it makes a statement but is not too brash, so it’s great for those that are color shy.
Cobalt literally works with almost every other color. Black, navy, camel, grey, white, orange, green and all other shades of blue as well.
From a color psychology perspective, blue symbolizes trust, truth, tranquility, cleanliness and contentment.
Blue is associated with beauty in nature - think blue skies, and the blue of the sea…and because of this, there is a positive association.
