Evereve Summer Try On - 15 Pieces, Endless Outfit Options

Evereve Summer Outfits

The warm weather has definitely arrived in Cleveland, so now is the perfect time to start thinking about your summer wardrobe. In this blog post, we'll dive deep into my Evereve try-on session. Evereve is a popular clothing store known for their stylish and versatile pieces. I’ve handpicked 15 key items that can be mixed, matched, and styled in countless ways to meet all your summer wardrobe needs. Wherever your summer plans may take you, these Evereve essentials have got you covered!

The origin story of this post is kind of interesting…A  few months ago I said I would do store/brand try-on videos so those that follow me on Instagram and Facebook could see the items on film. The reason is that photos are great - but seeing pieces on the body and moving can often give a more realistic view of what it will look like in real life. AND, on video, it is also easier for me, a person that would always rather talk than type, to give feedback regarding fit, fabric, and styling tips.

That all being said… as we were taping the try-on session, I realized (duh, I can be a little slow on the uptake) that we also had a kick a** blog post in the works. Why? Well, because essentially, the 15 pieces I picked to try from Evereve pretty much created a summer capsule wardrobe that could be mixed and matched a ton of ways.

Now, let me say, this is not the first time this has happened. In fact, it happens often, like most of the time, when I am shopping with, or for (yes, my VIP peeps don’t need to step foot in a store - we do it all for them) 1:1 styling clients. I aim to create versatile, wearable wardrobes, and mini capsules are often the building blocks for that. Even though I am not personally a believer in true capsule wardrobe dressing - for me, it feels too limiting - but for many, it can be liberating to have less to pick from.

Having mini capsules in a wardrobe, though, now that’s my jam. Because those mini caps, they are the workings that make getting dressed easier.

Here’s the deal - I never want someone to buy an outfit and only wear it one way - that actually hurts my stylist’s heart. I want the pieces to play nicely with one another in order to provide maximum outfit options. That is the long term goal.

Ok, so that was a really long way of saying, I went into Evereve, picked up 15 pieces, AKA a mini capsule, and I’ve come up with a whole summer’s worth of outfits for ya…

Details are below AND there is an in-depth try-on video posted in my Facebook group (which you should definitely join btw) Here’s the link to join - just to make it easy for you.

Evereve Summer Capsule Wardrobe

What are the pieces, and why did I choose these 15?

When thinking about a cohesive wardrobe, some math is involved, right? You can’t have 20 bottoms and 3 tops - the ratio would be out of whack. And you’d be wearing the same top like every other day. And there need to be shoes, and toppers (you know that third piece rule works wonders in the warmer months as well).

Think of a mini capsule like you’re packing for a vacation. You need 3 pairs of shoes, a few bottoms (3-4), and more tops because that is where the variety plays out.

The Shoes:

3 pairs - a flat, a wedge and a heel

Each pair of shoes serves a purpose in dressing the outfit up or down. And with this combo, each plays a distinct role. The flat and heel are more versatile, and neutral so they blend in, And the yellow pair are statement makers.

The Bottoms:

4 pairs - 2 pants and 2 shorts

One jean is casual and the other can be dressed up. So too with the shorts - one is very dressed down, casual and the other more elevated. Again, the goal is to be able to create variety in the outfits (for your various life roles) so we need pieces that serve that purpose. Meaning we don't need 5 pairs of cut off shorts because that becomes redundant. Even if they’re in different colors the ability they have to dial up or down an outfit is more limited.

The Tops and Toppers:

4 sleeveless, 2 short-sleeved, 1 long sleeved, and 2 toppers

9 total - long sleeve, short sleeve, sleeveless, dressy, casual

This is where the true fun comes in. Tops are usually what people remember. And the item that generally needs the most washing/dry cleaning. So it makes sense that the bulk of your capsule will be in the tops.

The Outfits

Chambray shorts + vest + blazer + heels

I’m utterly obsessed with this 3 piece “suit”. When worn all together it is effortless perfection. And the pieces split apart to offer so many options.

Fit tips: there is some stretch in this fabric. I stayed small in the tops but sized up in the shorts (mostly because they didn’t have my size in store, but I do like that the size up allows for a bit more slouch and length in the shorts).

White jeans + white tee + blazer + heels

The blazer alone acts as a lightweight third piece over a column of color - btw this is one of the best style tips for petite girls to look taller.

White jeans + ribbed tank + vest + heels

Same formula but a different silhouette. Swap out the tee and blazer for a fitted tank and vest, and it’s a whole new outfit. Also, vests are everywhere this season, so now is a good time to hop on this trend if it’s speaking to you.

Chambray blazer + shorts + graphic tee + heels

Shorts suit, but using the rule of juxtaposition, it’s dressed down a bit with a graphic tee. Heels keep it elevated and help elongate the legs too.

Chambray shorts + sleeveless blouse + heels

Wearing the shorts with a “dressier” blouse helps this feel perfect for going out.

Chambray blazer + vest + denim + wedge

Pairing the blazer and vest with denim and a pop of color sandal creates a whole new look. In a creative business casual environment, this works for work. And it also is perfect for a GNO.

Chambray blazer + vest + jeans + wedge + lightweight sweater

Take that same outfit and throw a colorful sweater over the shoulders, preppy style, and it looks like a whole new look. The sweater also offers interest and a bit of warmth but not too much. It’s a great way to layer in the warmer months.

Chambray blazer + gauzy tank + jeans + heels

This Canadian tuxedo look also works with a casual black tank. Mixing it with the light color heel allows the look to feel airier for the summer and also dresses it up a smidge.

Gauzy tank + jeans + flat sandals

Let’s take the same jeans and tank but dress it down for an everyday, run around look. Lose the blazer and swap out the feels for a flat sandal, and you’re good to go.

Lightweight sweater + jeans + wedges

This outfit is perfect for a cool summer evening. The sweater is perforated, so there is built-in air conditioning. Adding the wedge sandal gives the outfit that added a bit of oomph.

Graphic tee + jeans + lightweight sweater + flat sandals

To take this outfit down a notch, I added the graphic tee and put the sweater over the shoulders. I also threw on my good ol’ Birkenstock sandals. They’re not technically part of this capsule - however, they looked so good with the outfit I couldn’t resist.

Graphic tee + jeans + flat sandals

Here’s the same outfit minus the draped sweater, and it’s even more casual and easy.

White tee + jeans + flat sandals

They call this the perfect white tee, and they’re not lying. It’s the right weight, length, thickness, armhole, and v-neck, all in one! Making the jeans and a tee outfit oh so easy.

Jeans + sleeveless blouse + wedges

I love putting these jeans with the dressier blouse top for s going out look. Adding the wedge also gives it extra pop.

White jeans + graphic tee + lightweight sweater + block heel sandal

White denim is such a summer staple. And it’s fun to dress up (because it’s a jean but not a jean, so it can read more formal) and also down. This outfit is a solid middle-of-the-road on the dressiness scale - with a graphic tee. I also added these sandals to the outfit that were not in the capsule because they felt more casual than the wedge.

Lightweight sweater + white jeans + wedges

The rich magenta color combined with the crisp white denim is so good. Tucking in the front of the sweater helps balance the proportions of the outfit.

Sleeveless blouse + white jeans + heels

Talk about a going out look! This blouse is so pretty on, and even better in person. The drape of the fabric makes it look and feel much more expensive than the price tag.

Gauzy top + white jeans + flat sandals

The white jeans dress down equally well. With this beachy, gauzy top and flat sandals, it’s an easy-to-wear, summer combo. And it is in the color scheme that always feels chic.

Chambray vest + white jeans + lightweight sweater + heels

The vest works so well on its own, too, just as a top. With the white jeans, it’s an outfit maker.

Chambray vest + blazer + white jeans + heels

And combining the chambray vest and blazer with the white jeans makes it a little less “formal” than the whole suit and provides leg coverage.

Cutoff shorts + gauzy top + flat sandals

Cut-off denim shorts are a summer staple for many and also a holy grail item because finding the right pair can be really challenging. This brand and style sells out all the time because it is so universally flattering and easy to wear. They’re definitely on the pricier side for shorts and IMHO totally worth it.

These shorts with the gauzy top and flat sandals - it is the ultimate run around but feel put together summer weekend outfit.

Cutoff shorts + tank + kimono + flat sandals

I love the look of denim and white in the summer, it feels so polished yet laid back. Adding this kimono-style top gives the feel of a third piece and the arm coverage if that’s your thing, but doesn’t add warmth or heat.

Cutoff shorts + graphic tee + lightweight sweater + flat sandals

Last but not least… a more “typical” cutoff outfit. With a graphic tee and birks. That sweater over-the-shoulder, style tip really does help finish the outfit.

I could keep going by adding the kimono to the jeans and the perfect white tee to the shorts. But you all get the gist here. Creating a mini capsule lets you know all the items play together and makes getting dressed and packing for a trip easy.
