Girl Crush- Lauren Tatarchuk
I first met Lauren last year when she reached out for a wardrobe refresh to help take her style game up a notch. She had recently launched her genius product, the HNTRESS cowl. Our secondary goal was to incorporate this unique product into her outfits because Lauren is a walking advertisement.
We had a blast playing dress up, and I found Lauren lovely, warm, smart, passionate, and wise beyond her years. Her mission is to empower women to look good and feel good - and man, does that mission resonate with me.
If you picture your favorite hoodie and scarf having a baby, that’s the HNTRESS cowl. And because it’s made out of a sherpa fleece (machine washable!!), it can be worn 12 months a year. Some of my favorite looks we created were popping the HNTRESS over a sleeveless top for that bit of warmth you need on a cool summer or vacation evening.

Meet Lauren Tatarchuk
Hey – I’m Lauren, a born-and-raised Clevelander! I never envisioned myself long-term in Cleveland but ended up moving back here in 2017 and there’s nowhere I’d rather be! By-day, my husband and I have a fully licensed niche real estate team called Premier Cleveland Investing. And by-night, I work on my outerwear company, HNTRESS, which I launched last September! My mission with HNTRESS is to create powerful symbols of strength you can wear and feel supported by, all while looking good.
HNTRESS was created during a time in my life when I was going through hell, healing myself from years of chronic and autoimmune disease, and I needed a physical symbol of strength that I could wear that also looked good, helped me feel supported, empowered, AND warm from the inside out, like a hug to myself - a reminder to keep going no matter what (modern-day war paint if you will)! I wanted to share the feeling of HNTRESS with everyone, so I set out to perfect the design, ordered closets-full of material to find the right one to launch with, found local manufacturers and lastly filed the patent (which I just officially received in June)! I like to describe HNTRESS as an everyday staple that is better than a sweater, more stylish than a hoodie and more versatile than a scarf and where fashion meets function and inspires strength.
I love my real estate day job, but HNTRESS has my heart and I’m so excited to continue growing it and seeing where it all goes!
Lauren’s 5 Favorite Things
The Alchemist Book
There are few books I’ve read more than once, let alone two or more times – and this is one of them! It’s deeply impactful and helps me realign anytime I feel lost or need a reminder of what I’m here for or who I am. There’s something about the way it’s written and the story itself that speaks to me and really helps me feel at peace.
Hiking at South Chagrin/Metroparks with my husky, Wolf
Especially in the fall/winter! Going there after work to disconnect and hike with my dog is my absolute favorite thing. I love being out there amongst the trees and stillness and Wolf is just my best companion. I love going with my husband and friends as well, but it’s always special when I can get there alone and unwind. I find myself exhaling from relief the second I enter the woods!
NuCalm
I tend to lean towards the side of easily stressed/overwhelmed – this has been my whole life! When things accumulate it can feel hard to get out of the stressed-out loop so that’s when NuCalm is my holy grail - it’s kind of hard to explain but it’s created through neuroscience and put into music-form to help destress the body and get you in a neutral state. And I’ll tell you, it works!! I’ve never stuck with anything as long or as consistently as I have than with this. I also have a meditation practice but nothing helps me as much as NuCalm does when I’m in those majorly stressed out fight-or-flight states. I highly recommend!!
Amsterdam
Surprisingly one of my favorite places I’ve ever been! I didn’t expect to fall in love with it but my now-husband and I ended up biking every single day all day around the city and it was some of the most fun we’ve ever had! We spent hours getting lost in the city biking and having picnics and exploring, biking from one tour or site to another. I highly recommend taking a bike tour with a professional company to get the lay of the land and some confidence and then renting your own bike.
Billet Traveler from Blair Richey
I got this for my birthday last year and I literally wear/use it every day!! It’s super versatile, spacious, and so well thought-out. I mostly wear it as a cross-shoulder billet but the times when I take a purse, I’ll just detach the strap and put the whole “wallet” into my purse and voila, everything I need is in there in one place - keys, credit cards, phone, cash, etc. – it’s genius and I’m obsessed! It’s also super convenient to travel with – can’t wait to get my next color in it!
