Natural Sandals - The Must-Have Summer Shoe
Let's talk about shoes… summer shoes to be exact. Having a great neutral sandal in your shoe repertoire is essential. In fact, I’d argue it is one of those pieces that's needed to make getting dressed easy peasy.
And if you read my blog at this time last year, you might already own a pair of nude block heel sandals. After all, it rests on the top of the shoe hierarchy for its versatility and universal appeal. So, if you have a nude sandal and you’re wearing it, what comes next? What is the next shoe to add that will be just as versatile and add depth and interest to your shoe game, and therefore your overall wardrobe…
Well, friends, it's what I’m calling a natural sandal.
I’m not sure that's the technical term, but I am sure that having one will add life to your outfits this summer. A natural sandal - according to my definition, is a sandal made out of some sort of natural material that is neutral in color and has some type of texture to it. Think along the lines of raffia, cork, or wood - these materials have a raw appeal that seamlessly complements your outfits while keeping the overall feel casual, yet chic.
These natural sandals can come in all shapes, sizes and heel heights, yet how they’re worn is essentially the same.
Basics of Styling Natural Sandals
The Color Palette
The beauty of natural sandals lies in their color neutrality, which allows them to pair well with almost any outfit. Whether you're drawn to pastels, jewel tones, or a monochrome aesthetic, these sandals effortlessly adapt to your color scheme.
The Length Factor
A lesser-known fashion hack involves using neutral footwear to create the illusion of longer legs. The unbroken line from your legs to your feet results in a lengthened and flattering silhouette.
The Natural Texture
The unique texture of natural sandals brings a dash of intrigue to your outfit, offering a laid-back yet intentional vibe that truly sets them apart.
