I’ve been talking about vests since 2021, when it started emerging in the trend cycle. A few of you early adopters joined me in the vest “trend” a few years ago. But it’s safe to say that vests have gained quite a bit of popularity over the last 2-3 years and have really gained momentum in the fashion world. These are the most “typical” type of vest. They work on their own, under a blazer, or over a blouse.

Sweater vests are a softer material. Becasue they are knit, they work best with other tailored items and may not play nicely with other knits (unless it is a set).
Sleeveless Blazers
Sleeveless blazers serve more as a topper or a third piece, while still delivering that vest-like feel.
