May 2022 Hot List

The City Sandal - Margaux
I was introduced to these shoes by a client last year. They look like the Giovanni Rossi sandals and are uber comfortable at a fraction of the price. I ordered a pair and love them, and I’d say 9/10 clients that I’ve recommended these shoes to have loved them as well.
The City Sandal comes in various widths, however because they wrap around the ankle, on one of my clients we couldn't get the right fit. Otherwise, I’d dub these “winner, winner chicken dinner” shoes!
Beauty
Arcona Skincare Starter Kit
A few weeks ago I was running errands with like zilcho makeup on and my friend Beth at Lingg Jewelry asked what I was using on my skin because it looked so damn good. Well, I’ve used Arcona on and off over the years, and when I am consistent with it, well, it shows.
Originally I was sent a starter kit - it's a great way to try it out. The kit lasts about a month and I definitely saw results (my kids even commented on it). IMHO, totally worth a try.
Food
Cowboy Salsa Recipe
Before I was a stylist I worked in advertising. Back in the 90’s the agency I worked for was known for celebrity partnerships (think Cindy Crawford and Kay Jewelers). One of my first assignments was with Chef Park Kerr from Texas.. He made this salsa the “fancy” way, roasting both the corn and the red peppers. Mine is the dumbed down (aka easy-peasy) version but tastes pretty darn good, at least according to my guests.

JIFFY Garment STEAMER
I shared a stylist trick for steaming delicate fabrics on my Instagram and TikTok recently and got a lot of questions about which steamer I use. I use the Jiffy Steamer, my mother-in-law got it for me as a Mother’s Day gift years ago and it is amazeballs!
I rarely iron. I just keep the steamer in my closet or laundry room and steam out any wrinkles when needed. It heats up quickly, has a built in easy to use hanging bar and the nozzle is easy to maneuver.
