Walmart Gifts I’d Be Happy To Receive & Proud To Give

Ok, so consider this your cheat sheet for finding gifts, at a reasonable price for the fashion-y ladies in your life and on your list.

True story… someone messaged me on Instagram and said:

“Let me start by saying I love your blog! Kinda feeling like every fashion blogger is all of the sudden promoting Walmart. I know it’s your business, not picking on you, you just happen to be talking about it. How do (you) get picked to promote brands? You promote $400 boots and then $25 boots from Walmart? Seems like such a disconnect. Not saying there is anything wrong with that. Just curious”

I’m going to start by saying, good question, and also, I appreciate how it was posed. As I mentioned on IG, I am going to go a little deeper into the business of blogging/influencing. There were some amazon questions that were asked, and I do not think anything needs to be unknown or secretive. So, I’m gonna spill it all (or at least what I know) but not in this particular post…

And I don’t feel picked on at all. I can only speak for myself, specifically regarding the “disconnect” between $400 boots and $25 boots. IMO I love that I do not have to pick only one or the other. Both for my personal closet and for promotion to my IG family and to my clients.

I think the most interesting and thoughtfully curated wardrobes (and homes, for that matter) usually employ a high/low mix. And, I’ll add that it’s even better when you can not tell what the splurge was and what the save was.

If something looks fabulous off, feels fantastic on, and looks amazeballs, I kinda don’t care what it costs. Well, I do care if there are too many zeros in the price. Meaning I need to think longer and harder about making the purchase. There are many times I feel the investment is worth it. And also, there are times when I find something(s) so good, at a much more wallet-friendly price and I want to buy and share that as well.

Maybe I’m tooting my own horn, but I think the fact that I can shop and wear both luxury and economical fashion gives me more street credibility in each arena. It shows that I do not just recommend something because it has a fancy name or label (or even that it has a higher price so I will receive a higher commission). Also that  I am not just chasing the bargains. I truly, only recommend items I would personally wear or recommend to a client or friend. At the end of the day, that is what you, this community are to me - you’re my friends. We are in it together, and when I take on partnerships or even just recommend something, it is with you all in mind.

Gifts for HER from Walmart

When I was perusing the Walmart website, this bag jumped out at me. It looks good online however, in person, it is GREAT. The girls on my team were open-mouthed. They couldn’t believe “that is from Walmart”?? Not throwing any shade at Walmart, but sometimes because the prices are so good, some folks think that means the product might not be cute. Or in style. But I can tell you with complete confidence that is no longer the case.

So back to the bag. It’s so good! $50 and a fabulous, fashion’y gift for a lady in your life.

When in Doubt, Opt for Accessories

Accessories are a perfect gift

  1. They always fit

  2. They’re often “non-essential” so people don’t buy them for themselves

  3. They add oomph to an outfit, so they feel even more special

  4. They look good, and pretty things make people happy!

BTW, there is more, and I’ve found it for you. Check out the easy-to-gift and easy-to-get accessories gifts I found.
